Central Services and Compliance Manager
Reporting to the Chief Executive
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
The Finchley Charities has a proud history of over 500 years in the London Borough of Barnet. We provide high quality housing for older people in the area with 156 homes in East Finchley and another 16 currently under construction. Though our history is long we are a future focused charity and through our housing, grants programme and allotments, we have the resources and drive to make a real difference to the community.
This is an exciting period of growth and change for the Charities and we are looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual with experience working in a central services environment, working with a Trustee Board and an understanding of what constitutes effective governance.
To act as Company Secretary maintaining relevant records and making relevant returns to the appropriate regulatory bodies; undertake minutes of Board and committee meetings, and other meetings where required.
To manage The Finchley Charities’ facilities including office premises, communal areas and equipment (including IT) and undertake regular risk assessments, ensuring that The Finchley Charities complies with Health and Safety and Data Protection requirements.
To ensure that The Finchley Charities invests effectively in its Human Resources (HR) to maximise their potential and to ensure that The Finchley Charities complies with the law and best practice, undertaking regular reviews of policies and procedures, providing advice to colleagues and obtaining legal or other HR advice when required.
As a member of the Management Team, contribute to the strategic direction and vision of The Finchley Charities working in partnership with management colleagues, staff and Trustees.
