March 2019:
Weekly Maintenance Contribution Review
The Finchley Charities has recently made a number of changes to the Weekly Maintenance Contribution paid by residents, commencing on 1st April 2019.
There has been some public debate and discussion as to what these changes are, so we thought it sensible to provide interested parties with the facts and the Question & Answer sheet below has been emailed to councillors across the London Borough of Barnet.
This was not a straightforward process but something we have done to deliver best practice within the organisation and to protect The Finchley Charities and the valuable work it does today and into the future.
We provide much needed, good quality accommodation and services, and hope that people will continue to apply for residence at, and refer people to, The Finchley Charities.
November 2018:
Inside Housing Development Award 2018
Inside Housing is a social housing magazine which holds annual awards to recognise inspirational housing developments. The architects behind Octavia Garden, Hampson Williams, won ‘Best Inclusive Development Award’, acknowledging its accessibility and described by the judges as “A place we would be happy to live in.”
Susan, Subir and trustee Roger Chapman attended the awards ceremony on behalf of The Finchley Charities, pictured below with the Hampson Williams team Tristram Dodwell and Chris Hampson (second and third from left respectively).
